Have you ever wanted to learn what police work really involves?

 

Do you want to learn more about the Wauseon Police Department?

 

THEN WE HAVE THE PROGRAM FOR YOU!

 

The Citizens Police Academy is designed to help you better understand what a police officer encounters. The classes are taught by Wauseon Police Officers and local officials.

 

The Citizens Police Academy is free to all participants.

 

 

COURSE OUTLINE

 

Some of the topics scheduled to be covered are:

 

Police Department Tour

CCNO tour

Crime scene investigation

Firearms

Many other "hands-on" activities

 

CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY REQUIREMENTS

 

To participate in the Citizen Police Academy you must:

 

Be at least 21 years of age

Reside in the Wauseon School District

Have no previous criminal record
